2 Kings 15:19-21

19 Pul[a] king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents[b] of silver for supporting him and strengthening his hold over the kingdom. 20 Menahem exacted the silver from Israel, from every wealthy man—fifty shekels[c] from each man—to give to the king of Assyria. Then the king of Assyria left. He did not remain in the land.

21 As for the rest of Menahem’s acts and everything he did, are they not written in the annals of the kings of Israel?
